Welcome to LUNAFEST, a one-of-a-kind film festival comprised of Short Films By and About Women, hosted by Junior League of Bakersfield and Bakersfield Museum of Art on November 4, 2022. We are proud partners in this effort to expand the scope of visual arts in our community.
Proceeds from this event benefit both Bakersfield Museum of Art and Junior League of Bakersfield, bringing diverse visual arts experience to Bakersfield and powering the next generation of local, female philanthropists.

The films featured in LUNAFEST challenge our perceptions about the world and our place in it, spark conversations, strengthen connections, and inspire us to be better versions of ourselves. The films feature bold individuals, powerful images, and impactful language. Stories reflect the diverse perspectives of the filmmakers and their subjects.
